Sometimes the stars truly allign as was the case with Guinness and me when they decided to relaunch to the American market. Guinness had always been my favorite beer, and to get the chance to tell the Guinness story which reads like classic mythology was nothing but sheer joy. The project brought me all over the United States, as well as to good ol’ Ireland where I explored the Guinness birthplace at St. James Gate. Documenting the process and the Guinness Believer campaign along the way resulted in a short subject documentary about the world’s favorite dark beer, drank in more countries around the world than any other. I confess, I did have my share of Guinness during the project, but not nearly enough to say I’ve had my fill.
