Hi.
We just met at Sundance.
I’m ROBERTO SERRINI - Director of Commercial, Documentary & Narrative films.
Award-winning storyteller working across brands, documentaries, and director-driven film projects, currently at Sundance.
I’m coming from commercials and docs, I’ve done a lot of brand storytelling, and now I’m developing a couple of feature ideas.
Above is a quick cut of work I’ve done.
Below are the brands that trust me with their story.
Who again?
I come from a background in high-end commercial and deep documentary filmmaking, directing projects around the world for global brands while building longer-form, character-driven stories on the side.
My work tends to live at the intersection of place, identity, and culture — cinematic, grounded, and human. I love cinema, love story, and love the process.
Why I’m Here.
Currently developing a few series and features (see below) and I’m looking to connect with the right people to guarantee success.
Producers developing narrative or documentary features
Writers with bold, contained, director-driven scripts
Sales agents and financiers open to early conversations

CURRENTLY IN DEVELOPMENT
Series:
Creative: Hybrid unscripted/narrative female driven comedy about the world’s worst boutique ad agency that simply cannot fail.
Think Mad Men meets Broad City
Under Influence: Scripted digital series about two hopeless influencers in way over their head with no way out but up.
Think Schitt’s Creek meets Emily in Paris.
Secret Ingredient: Hybrid travel/cooking series that unravels the dark secret origins of the world’s favorite dishes.
Think No Reservations meets Mythbusters. If you can.
Features:
The Boyfriend Audition: Feature docu-style romantic comedy about a past prime princess that casts for her perfect man. A modern day Cyrano tale told through the folly of film.
Think Shakespeare in Love meets Francis Ha (I swear I can make that happen).
Brise: A raw coming of age story about a point shoe maker and a ballerina that are symbiotically connected facing the weight of living a forgettable life.
Think Call Me By Your Names meets Whiplash
Letters to Myself: A coming of middle age story of a man who doesn’t know what being a man is supposed to be. Finding a box of letters from his grandfather sent during the war, he decides to leave it all behind to search out the truth of who this idolized man really was through strange addresses on the back of envelopes.
Think Motorcycle Diaries meets Falling Down.
